VB-ABA

What is VB-ABA?

VB-ABA stands for Verbal Behaviour-Applied Behaviour Analysis. This refers to behaviour therapy with a focus on functional communication, social skills and related life skills. At Leapfrog Therapies we offer modern and progressive ABA services that incorporate the Verbal Behaviour Approach, PBS and current best practice in ABA research.

Who is VB-ABA for?

Leapfrog Therapies offers VB-ABA services to any learners aged between 18 months and 25 years. It can be successful in improving learning and behaviour for any child or young person, but has extensive research in supporting learners with autism and related neurodivergence.

How is VB-ABA carried out?

Our VB-ABA Consultant and supervisor run the baseline assessment using a behaviour assessment tool such as the VBMAPP. Then they will regularly run workshops to observe and improve progress within the school/nursery and/or home. We can work with parents only, school/nursery staff only and/or provide VB-ABA Therapists trained in our progressive approach. Therapy is play based, child led and fun!
